Guidelines and Application Form

what gives?® supports non-profit organizations working in the following areas:

Arts, Culture & Humanities:

Promoting the foundation, appreciation, and accessibility of a rich assortment of arts and
culture.

Faith-based Charities & Social or Human Service Charities:

Improving the quality of life, predominantly within communities in need, and among individuals at
risk because of age, economic status, disability, or discrimination.

Colleges, Universities & Educational Organizations, and Youth Sports Organizations

Developing the aptitude of individuals to be self-motivated and self-directed learners, with particular emphasis on children, youth, and on job training efforts. Includes support for youth development & sports programs.

Environmental & Animal Welfare:

Working to preserve and restore the quality of natural and human environments, and provide for the safe refuge & well-being of animals.

Health Related Organizations:

Promoting healthy communities and improving the physical and mental well-being of
vulnerable individuals.

HOW TO APPLY

In order to be listed and benefiting on the what gives?® web site, nonprofit organizations must complete this application (click here). Organizations status must be updated on an annual basis.

Each application must be accompanied by a copy of the applicant organization’s IRS 501 (c) (3) exemption ruling.
